Explore Banff in luxury and style with a unique touring experience this year.

Open Top Touring by Pursuit offers a 90-minute tour around Banff in their custom-made tour coaches.

These open-top coaches keep their promise of “vintage tours with a modern twist” with all the luxuries of the modern-day, such as USB charging ports for your phones. These long coaches can accommodate up to 20 passengers and were inspired by the original Brewster coaches used by the Brewster brothers which transported guests between the railway station and the Banff Springs Hotel.

Unlike the original yellow and black coaches used by the brothers in the last century, the new ones are white and blue, chosen to resemble the calm blue skies of the national park. The luxurious interior is made with brown leather and wood and the open roof allows you to stand while taking wonderful pictures of the Canadian Rockies.

To make this whole experience entertaining, and to make you will feel as though you’ve been transported back in time to the 1930s, they have a guide in period costume who will tell you interesting stories about the history of Banff and several famous Banff personalities. The whole trip is educational, fun and you get the best views and extraordinary pictures of Banff!

There are two 90 minute tours to choose from this year – Castle, Gardens & Waterfalls Tour and Legendary Banff Tour

The Legendary Banff tour visits lookout points like the Mount Norquay lookout with the best, most iconic views of Banff and the Tunnel Mountain Drive offering amazing views of Mount Rundle and the valley below. The trip also includes the surprise corner lookout from where you can see the Banff Springs Hotel.

Castle, Gardens & Waterfalls Tour takes you to Banff Springs Golf Club, Cascades of Time Gardens, along the calm Bow river flowing through the town and Bow Falls.

Open Top Touring costs $42 for adults and $25 for children. 2022 touring season starts April 16, 2022.
