When the harbour freezes over, you can start to spot ice fishing huts on the ice. All you need to start ice fishing is a line, a hook, some bait, and something sharp that you can use to cut into the ice. Always check the ice condition before heading out onto the harbour.
Winter River Trail
Just 5km from Charlottetown, the Winter River Trail becomes a gorgeous winter wonderland. The trail starts through the white spruce forest and continues to pass by small streams to finally reach the end of the Winter River Trail. The 7km trail is a popular snowshoeing location where you may see some interesting wildlife during your trek.
