The beauty of the Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park is the abundance of natural scenery and outdoor fun. Find more beauty in the fact that this PEI winter attraction is also about halfway between two urban centres: Summerside and Charlottetown.

The Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park is about a half-hour drive from either city to create a perfect day trip destination for island locals and visitors alike.
Plus, the park is one of the venues for one of the biggest winter festivals on the Island.
Skiing & More at Mark Arendz Winter Park
The alpine and downhill ski area at the Mark Arendz Provincial Park offers runs for all skill levels. This includes green (easy), blue (intermediate), and black diamond (difficult) runs for skiers or snowboarders. With this the park offers a main lift central to the hill, and a smaller lift for the bunny hill. And from the top of the main lift are great views of the surrounding treetops and hills around Brookvale.

- Next to the downhill ski area is where you’ll find more downhill sports with the park’s 250ft.-long snow tubing hill.
- Many of the wooded trails in Mark Arendz Park are great for snowshoeing with three main loops east of the hills. In total, the snowshoe trails provide 7km of trail to explore. Snowshoe rentals are available.
Jack Frost Winterfest
Plan for a ski trip in February and stick around the park or Charlottetown for the annual Jack Frost Winterfest on Islander Day Weekend. The multi-day festival includes events in Charlottetown and at the Mark Arendz Ski Park. In total, there are four main venues: Snowtopia, Frosty Funland, the Warm & Glow Zone, and Sleigh Bell Blvd.
- Snowtopia, located at Mark Arendz Park, will include all the fun the park normally offers, plus winter games and activities, live music, snow sculpting, and sleigh rides.
- Warm up indoors at the Delta Hotel in Charlottetown with the Frosty Funland, where kids can meet the star of the festival, Jack Frost.
- The Warm & Glow Zone, outside of Founder’s Food Hall & Market in Charlottetown, features and outdoor skating rink amidst the city’s many local shops and restaurants. The rink is lit for night skating, and helmets are required to skate.
- The café closest to the Provincial Park, Bits Bikes and Brews, will be open for Winterfest.
