A nine-year-old from Saskatchewan has won the annual Global Ikea Soft Toy Drawing Competition.
Kids from across the globe participate in the annual competition for an opportunity to create soft toys of their dreams.
This year, five unique drawings were selected by a jury at IKEA of Sweden from the more than 66,000 global entries.
Audrey from Saskatoon won with her “Sandwich Friends” design. Other winners include children from Lithuania, Poland, Russia and the U.S.
“My soft toy represents best friends who live in Canada. Peanut Butter is soft, and jelly is sweet which together make a wonderful treat,” said 9-year-old Audrey via virtual interview with IKEA Canada. “With Sandwich Friends I want others to be kind, careful and to always stay and take care of each other.”

Sandwich Friends will part of the SAGOSKATT collection, a limited-edition soft toy line designed by children for children.
The SAGOSKATT collection will arrive in all IKEA Canada stores and IKEA.ca this Fall. All proceeds are donated to local children’s organizations across Canada that support their right to play and develop.
