Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is leaning into the global soccer buzz this summer, but in its own way.
Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is introducing “Canyon Kick-Off,” a six-week, soccer-themed experience running from June 6 to July 19, 2026. The timing lines up with matches taking place in the city, which is hosting teams from eight nations.
The setup starts right under the suspension bridge. Flags from those eight countries will hang across the canyon, alongside a 10-foot soccer ball. It’s a visual meant to connect the park’s rainforest setting with the energy of the tournament.
Beyond that, the experience spreads across the park. Visitors will find photo installations, including a “LOVE the beautiful game” display, along with hands-on activities like foosball and soccer cornhole. A sticker album challenge adds another layer for families moving through the trails.
Food is also part of the theme. The Cliff House Restaurant is introducing a menu inspired by the competing nations. Dishes range from Belgian moules frites to an Australian Tim Tam caramel ice cream pie, along with a Canadian Caesar topped with maple caramelized bacon.
The park’s usual features, including the suspension bridge, Cliffwalk, and Treetops Adventure, remain open during the event. Hours run daily from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., with entry managed through timed tickets.
