Today, FIFA revealed the much-anticipated match schedule for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking a significant first for Canada as it prepares to co-host the global tournament alongside Mexico and the United States.

This event comes almost four decades after Canada’s inaugural FIFA event and 11 years following the highly celebrated FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015.
Toronto and Vancouver were selected in 2022 as the Canadian cities to host the matches, with both cities hosting five matches each of opening round games.
The tournament is set to kick off on June 11th with the opening match at Mexico City’s iconic Estadio Azteca, followed by Canada’s first game in Toronto and the USA’s in Los Angeles on June 12th.
Toronto’s BMO Field schedule also includes games on June 17, 20, 23, and 26, and Vancouver will play host to matches on June 13, 18, 21, 24, and 26 at BC Place.

Two round of 32 matches will be played in Canada, with Toronto hosting one game on July 2 (Match 83) and one round in Vancouver (Match 85), on July 2.
Vancouver will see one round of 16 on July 7 (Match 96).
This edition of the World Cup is unique not only for Canada’s debut as a host but also for Mexico’s record third hosting of the event, recalling the memorable tournaments of 1970 and 1986. The USA is hosting the FIFA World Cup for the second time.
The World Cup will utilize 16 iconic venues across North America, including cities such as Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Guadalajara, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, Monterrey, New York New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, and Seattle, promising a diverse and world-class experience for millions of fans.
United States will host all the games from quater-finals which are set for July 9-11, 2026, across stadiums in Foxborough, Inglewood, Miami Gardens, and Kansas City. Semi-finals will occur on July 14-15 in AT&T Stadium, Arlington and Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, with the third-place play-off on July 18 in Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens.
The grand finale is set for July 19, 2026, in MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey concluding what promises to be a historic tournament with a total of 104 games and 48 teams.
