Festival des Rameurs
The annual “Festival des Rameurs” takes place in Baie des Chaleurs, attracting thousands of spectators to witness the courageous rowers crossing the bay. The festival originated in 1967 and has been held annually since its success. The main event is the 22-mile crossing, with the fastest recorded time being 2 hours, 36 minutes, and 7 seconds. Rain or shine, the arrival site known as “Place des Rameurs” sees a large gathering of people eagerly welcoming the rowers.
