What better way to say goodbye to the summer holidays than celebrating all things corn?
Taber Chamber
Taber is famous for its corn and if you’re looking for something fun to do before the fall weather hits, head to this Southern Alberta town.
Taber Cornfest is the largest free festival of its kind in Western Canada. This annual event, held the weekend before Labour Day, offers visitors a chance to enjoy a variety of fun activities.
The festival officially kicks off on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. with a parade.

Don’t forget to head to the festival early on Friday and Saturday to enjoy the pancake breakfast, and your kids will love racing around in the go-karts. Wild Rose Shows will be bringing their midway with wristbands costing $50.
Friday and Saturday offer a variety of activities, including car shows, FMX stunt shows, competitions like cornbread contests, and live entertainment featuring magic and comedy shows. There are also specific zones for children and gaming enthusiasts, as well as performances such as magic shows and wrestling.
New this year, is the drone show on Friday. The festival ends with grand fireworks on Saturday at 9:50 p.m. Taber Cornfest runs from August 21st to 23rd. Entrance into the festival is free.
