The offering, called the Takis Fuego Meal, features two main components: the Takis Fuego Chicken Sandwich and Takis-inspired Fuego Fries.
The Takis Fuego Chicken Sandwich combines Wendy’s Spicy Chicken filet with chili lime sauce, a creamy corn spread, and crushed Takis Fuego chips. The fries are based on Wendy’s regular Hot & Crispy Fries, tossed in a chili lime seasoning.
Customers can purchase the items individually or as part of the full Takis Fuego Meal, which includes an additional bag of Takis Fuego chips, available only while supplies last.
This new menu will be available in U.S. restaurants from June 20, with Canadian locations following ten days later.
The collaboration introduces one of the first instances of a national fast-food chain in Canada integrating a popular snack food brand into multiple meal components. Wendy’s, established in 1969, operates more than 7,000 locations worldwide and is known for its Spicy Chicken Sandwich and fresh, made-to-order menu. Takis, produced by Barcel USA under Grupo Bimbo, known for its intensely flavoured rolled tortilla chips and other snack products.
The promotion is available for a limited time at participating locations in Canada and the U.S.
