Illuminarium at The Distillery District celebrates The Distillery Winter Village with a special Christmas immersive experience called Winter Wonderland Spectacular.
Illumination, in collaboration with Emmy award-winning partner Secret Location, has established its Canadian branch at the former Fermenting Cellar, a massive 13,500 square-foot venue designed for captivating experiences.
This immersive attraction utilizes cutting-edge technology, including Christie’s laser projection, scent machines, LIDAR sensors, and digital soundscapes. Unlike traditional virtual reality experiences, visitors can fully immerse themselves in the narrative without the need for cumbersome glasses.
Winter Wonderland Spectacular will be open from November 24, 2023, to January 7, 2024, coinciding with Toronto’s beloved holiday market. Guests will step into a winter wonderland castle filled with interactive technology, surrounded by ever-changing scenes of nutcrackers, jingle bells, and candy canes. From Santa’s opulent winter palace to swirling snowstorms and shimmering Northern Lights, it promises to be a place of enchantment and joy, embracing the holiday spirit.
Visitors can enjoy several festive experiences, including a holiday-themed spectacular, a 360-degree immersive show, photo opportunities with Santa or Mrs. Klaus, and a free hot cocoa station.
Ticket options and upgrades are available, for $35+ HST and fees per person for $45+ HST and fees per person, including Distillery Winter Village admission. All ticket options include skip-the-line access to The Holiday Winter Village through the Express Entry sign at all gates and are required for guests over the age of 2. Purchasing the combo ticket from The Distillery Winter Village website offers a $20 discount. This immersive experience promises to be a unique and magical way to celebrate the holiday season in Toronto.
