The Ontario Health Coalition: Residents of Many Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Infected With COVID-19

imageOntario Health Coalition reported that residents of more than a dozen long-term care homes and almost 100 health care workers in Ontario are infected with COVID-19.

The Ontario Health Coalition has been tracking the number of residents and staff infected with COVID-19 in long-term care homes as well as the number of health care workers who have contracted the virus. The coalition says that the number is increasing significantly since last week.

  3. Pinecrest Nursing Home Bobcaygeon
  4. Anson Place Care in Hagersville
  5. Markhaven Home for Seniors in Markham
  6. Hillsdale Terraces Long-Term Care Home in Oshawa
  7. Promenade Retirement Residence in Orleans
  8. Maplewood Retirement Community in Ottawa
  9. Promenade Retirement Residence in Ottawa
  10. St. Joseph’s at Fleming in Peterborough
  11. A retirement home in Renfrew County
  12. A long-term care home in London Region
  13. Hillside Manor Long Term Care Home in Stratford
  14. Landmark Village in Sarnia
  15. Grafton Gage Village in St. Catharines
  16. Seven Oaks long-term care home in Scarborough
  17. St. Clair-O’Connor Nursing Home in Toronto
  18. Kensington Gardens in Toronto
  19. Seasons Welland in Welland

According to the Ontario COVID-19 website, currently, there are 1,966 positive COVID-19 cases and 33 related deaths. Ontario website does not report number cases in long term care homes.
