In 2021, Canadians searched for “COVID vaccine near me”, “Why did Prime Minister Trudeau call an election?”, and “How to get a vaccine passport”.
The list of top searches also included Canadians searching for answers about events of 2021 that dominated the headlines, like “Federal Election”, “How to register to vote in Canada”, “Why were Residential Schools created?”, and “Why is lumber so expensive?
NBA, Bridgerton, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Leylah Fernandez, Andre De Grasse, Olivia Rodrigo‘s song Drivers License and South Korean success, Squid Game dominated searches in sports and entertainment.
