4. Northwest Territorial Days

Come and enjoy all your favourite rides, games, and yummy fair food this August during Northwest Territorial Days, taking place at Exhibition Park in Battleford. August 11-14, 2026

5. Threshermen’s Show and Seniors’ Festival

Join WDM Yorkton for the annual Threshermen’s Show & Seniors’ Festival. The weekend consists of threshing, stooking, plowing, the Story of Harvest, grain grinding and rolled oats, clay oven bread baking, rope making, blacksmithing, sawing, antique tractor display and competition, Parade of Power, horse-drawn wagon rides, and children’s mini train and mini airplane rides.  Live music will also be featured on the entertainment stage. August 1 – 2, 2026

6. See an Exhibit at WDM

The WDM has one of the largest agricultural machinery collections in Canada. In this exhibit, giant gasoline tractors and steam traction engines from the 1910s rest alongside “newer” machines from the 1920s and 1930s. Harvesting equipment from the reaper to the threshing machine bear witness to the enormous amount of power needed to bring in each year’s crop.

Coronach’s 100th Anniversary celebration takes place July 31 to August 2, 2026, in Coronach, Saskatchewan. This once-in-a-lifetime long weekend will feature fun, music, memories, and a community celebration honouring the town’s rich history. — July 31 – August 3, 2026

10. 70 Million Years in 60 Minutes

12. Saskatoon Ex

13. Fossil Fever

14. Hike the Metis Trail

41. Macklin World Bunnock Championship Tournament

Every Long weekend in August, the residents of Macklin dig their bones out of the closet (this traditional game is played with actual horse ankle bones) to host the approximately 320 teams who enter the World Championship Bunnock Tournament. Join this fun event at Macklin Lake Regional Park. A variety of events occur in conjunction with the annual tournament, including beer gardens, dances, children’s rides, pancake breakfasts, and more. 50. Whitewood Chacachas Rodeo

The Whitewood Chacachas​ Rodeo offers fun for the whole family with rodeo performances at 7 p.m. on both nights, with slack following the Friday performance.
