With hometown astronaut Jeremy Hansen preparing to fly around the Moon, Tim Hortons is marking the moment in London with special boxes.

Tim Hortons has rolled out limited-edition “Moonbits” boxes at select restaurants in the city, tying the promotion to the upcoming Artemis II launch. The choice of London is deliberate. It is the hometown of Jeremy Hansen, who is set to fly around the Moon as part of the mission.
Each 10-pack Timbits box includes a short message explaining why this flight matters. Hansen’s participation means Canada will become only the second country to send an astronaut around the Moon. Artemis II also marks the first crewed lunar mission in more than 50 years, since the Apollo era.
The launch could happen as early as Wednesday, April 1, with a two-hour window opening at 6:24 pm ET. Backup opportunities extend through April 6.
“This is something Canadians can be proud of,” said Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer at Tim Hortons, noting the strong local connection to the mission.
The Canadian Space Agency plans to follow the mission closely, hosting livestreamed events in both English and French. Key moments include a launch broadcast at 5:45 pm on April 1, multiple space-to-Earth connections, and a return event on April 10, when splashdown is expected at 8:06 pm.
If the mission launches on April 1, the crew could reach 400,171 kilometres from Earth on April 6, surpassing the distance record set by Apollo 13.
For now, the Moonbits boxes are available only in London while supplies last.
