Tim Hortons is getting into playoff mode alongside Canadian sports fans, with a small but noticeable change to its cups.

Tim Hortons has rolled out limited edition large hot beverage cups in four cities, each tied to a local team heading into the playoffs. The designs are already available at participating locations in Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto.
Each cup leans into hometown pride. Edmonton’s version is bright orange with a “Let’s Go Oilers!” message, while Ottawa’s black cup features “Go Sens Go!” In Montreal, the design shifts to red with blue and white accents and the familiar “Go Habs Go!” chant. Toronto’s cup keeps things simple with a black background and the Raptors’ “We The North” slogan front and centre.
Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer at Tim Hortons, said the brand is tapping into the excitement of both the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the NBA postseason, with multiple Canadian teams in the mix.
There is also a digital angle. Starting April 18, Tims Rewards members can unlock limited time offers in the app whenever a Canadian NHL team wins a playoff game.
In Toronto, the company is extending the experience beyond its stores. It will be part of the Raptors Playoff Tailgate at Maple Leaf Square, where fans can grab free coffee or hot chocolate while supplies last and watch the game together.
