Alberta is getting into the carnival spirit with the arrival of various midway companies that will take thrilling rides on the road throughout the province. Get ready to scream your lungs out and indulge in all your favourite fair foods as these carnival experts excite cities, towns, and villages across Alberta.
“The world’s largest travelling outdoor amusement park,” North American Midway Entertainment provides midway rides at Alberta’s largest summer festivals, including the Calgary Stampede, and K-Days. The Calgary Stampede and K-Days rank among the top 50 fairs in North America.
West Coast Amusements, the largest Canadian midway operator in Western Canada, will tour B.C., Alberta, and Saskatchewan this summer and set up its midway during various festivals and stampedes, including St. Albert’s Rainmaker Rodeo, Black Gold Rodeo, Westerner Days and Grande Prairie Stompede.
Wild Rose Shows, a family-owned midway company, brings nearly 50 rides, including thrilling rides like the Gravitron and Yo-Yo and classic rides like the Ferris Wheel, to fun carnivals in mall parking lots and rodeo grounds.
A midway ride-all-day pass starts at around $45, depending on the carnival.
