The city of Toronto ski enthusiasts rejoice!
There is no need to head to the Durham region or other GTA cities for skiing as the city of Toronto is finally reopening the ski and snowboard hill in North York.

Weather permitting, the facility will operate until Sunday, March 16, offering skiing and snowboarding opportunities for all skill levels.
The centre features a beginner hill with a rope tow and a main hill offering two runs and a race hill, accessible by a four-person chairlift. The site is equipped with an accessible ski chalet, washrooms, and equipment rental services for visitors taking lessons or hitting the slopes independently.
Lift ticket prices vary by age and duration, starting at $20.87 for two hours for those 18 and under, and $39.85 for an all-day pass across all age groups. Seniors enjoy reduced rates, aligning with youth pricing.
Equipment rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A security deposit is required: $300 per person or $600 for up to four people, while helmets require a $50 deposit. Payments can be made via cash or credit card, and government-issued photo ID is mandatory for rentals.
Safety remains a priority, with proper ski or snowboard equipment required on all slopes. Helmets are strongly recommended for all visitors.
The City advises checking conditions before planning a visit, as the centre’s daily operation is weather-dependent. With the season underway, the Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre promises a fun, active winter experience for residents and visitors alike.
