Canada’s busiest airport will see the inaugural flight of Canada’s newest airline today when Canada Jetlines begins its operations out of its travel hub, Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Canada Jetlines, a leisure airline, will fly to Calgary (YYC) today, starting its twice-a-week flights operating Thursdays and Sundays out of Toronto (YYZ) to Calgary (YYC) from 07:55am – 10:10am MDT and returns from Calgary (YYC) to Toronto (YYZ) 11:40 am – 5:20 pm EST.
As per the news release, the flight frequency will increase to three flights per week, Thursdays through Sundays, starting October 13.
Canada Jetlines, flying Airbus A320, has domestic, non-scheduled international, and scheduled international service licenses from the Canadian Transportation Agency.
The airline had earlier announced flights to Moncton, NB (YQM) and Winnipeg, MB (YWG) from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), but later changed due to a delay in getting the air operating certificate (AOC) from Transport Canada.
Currently, only Calgary to Toronto flights are available to book on its website with one-way tickets starting at $99.
Canada Jetlines says will offer flights to cities in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean in near future.
