Canada’s largest zoo is offering free admission to indigenous peoples on Truth and Reconciliation Day.

There will be special programming by Native Child and Family Services Toronto and Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child & Family Services.
Toronto Zoo says admission is free to all First Nation, Métis, Inuit, and non-status First Nations people and proof of identification is not required.
There will be a special opening ceremony at t 9:30 a.m. which includes traditional smudge, singing, and drumming followed by traditional singing and drumming, Indigenous storytelling, and interactive experiences until 2 p.m.
Visitors to Toronto Zoo can enjoy a singing and drumming performance by Nenookaasi Ogichidaa and storytelling by Monique, a traditional storyteller.
Those who are planning to visit Toronto Zoo need not buy admission online as complimentary admission is available at the gate.
Toronto Zoo is open until 4:30 p.m. on September 30th and is located at 2000 Meadowvale Road, Toronto.
