Toronto’s house on the hill will be all aglow in twinkling lights this holiday season.
Casa Loma is ushering in the holiday season with the return of two popular traditions that turn the historic landmark into a festive escape for visitors of all ages.

Casa Loma
If you’ve never been to Casa Loma, then the holidays this year are a perfect time to check it out. This castle is set up for you to truly capture the magic of the Christmas season with its Holiday Lights Tour and Christmas at the Castle events, both created by Liberty Entertainment Group’s creative director, Nadia Di Donato.
Running from December 5 to January 2, the programs fill the grounds and interior with twinkling lights, elaborate décor, live entertainment, and chances for children to meet Santa.
President and CEO Nick Di Donato says this year’s installations were designed to make the castle feel “immersive” and “full of joy.”
The outdoor Holiday Lights Tour, open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., features illuminated tunnels, garden displays, photo stops, performances by the Fire Guy, mascot appearances, and opportunities to hand letters to Santa.
Inside the castle, the daytime experience transforms each room with festive displays, including a 20-foot tree in the Great Hall and eight designer destination trees decorated by Canadian creators such as Jane Lockhart, Joseph Tassoni, and Amanda Aerin. Families can explore Santa’s Workshop, watch performances from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and enjoy shows ranging from the Jambo Brothers’ acrobatics to seasonal vocals by Sara Papini and Amanda Orla.
Casa Loma will also keep Liberty Caffé open later and continue its toy drive for the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish Foundation, donating $1 from every adult admission to Christmas at the Castle.
It’s important to note that tickets for both events are date-specific and non-refundable, but can be exchanged subject to availability.
The “Christmas at the Castle” ticket does not include access to the “Holiday Lights Tour” unless upgraded, and vice versa.
