Enjoy two evenings of arts, music and a fun parade as Prince Edward County’s festival famous for epic illuminated art installations returns this weekend.

Firelight Lantern Festival is organized by the Department of Illumination and it is a cherished Prince Edward County tradition since 2013. This year, the theme is Enchanted Forest and runs on November 4th and 5th 2022.
Friday will be a 19+ only evening filled with food, drink, dancing, art installations and interactive performances and will showcase Kingston’s unique and experimental folkestra, The Gertrudes.
The famous Lantern Parade will return on Saturday.

Starting at Benson Park, the parade will make its way down Main Street to the Crystal Palace, where Toronto’s hip-hop brass band Bangerz Brass will take the mainstage.
Leading the festival will be giant lantern puppets by Nella Casson, Krista Dalby, Chrissy Poitras, Tim Snyder and Kyle Topping.
Visitors can also enjoy an eclectic array of performances from multiformat puppet masters Imagicario, shadow puppetry by Birdbone Theatre, Peterborough circus performers, and Trellis Arts on both days.
DJ Ombudsman will be providing the beats to keep the dance floor moving, and Kaleidoscope will be on-site to keep everyone fed.
So dress up in wild and wonderful costumes and head to Crystal Palace, Picton for a unique fall night celebration.
