Visit Glenbow Museum during the last two weekends in August before the museum closes for renovations in September 2021.

The Glenbow Museum closed third and fourth-floor last November as the building undergoes a top-down approach in renovation to create new opportunities for exhibitions, and better education facilities.

The second-floor art exhibitions will be open until August 29, 2021.

Those who want to visit the museum before it closes should reserve free tickets courtesy of Servus Credit Union. The tickets are available for August 19 to 22 and August 26 to 29, 2021.

Glenbow Museum plans to reopen in mid-2024. Glenbow Museum says they plan to open a temporary “pop-up” exhibition space in downtown Calgary, to provide programs and digital outreach throughout the renovation process. The renovations are projected to cost $120 million.
