I. Family Activities

The Checkerboard Guy

By deftly manipulating clubs, balls, axes, machetes, and stinky shoes, while riding a giraffe unicycle, or making balloon origami, David Aiken, aka The Checkerboard Guy, will make you question the laws of physics. The moment he hits the stage he reminds everyone that fairy tales do come true when you’re young at heart and it’s easy to bust a gut by laughing really hard. The playful nature of his show is one part inspired insanity, one part interactive game, one part skillful demonstration, and 100% infectious fun. Details.

Edmonton Oktoberfest

Edmonton Oktoberfest is a celebration of beer, food, music, games, tradition and community. The event will have authentic Bavarian style booths pouring authentic Bavarian style beers. We’ve also added a local twist to our event. Because in Munich, Oktoberfest is a celebration of local beers, we’ve decided it is only right for us to celebrate the great local beers of Edmonton and area. All breweries from Alberta will be pouring their delicious brews as well. On top of that, we have amazing local eateries, pubs and restaurants serving up their delicious fare.
