Rutherford House Culture Days

As part of Alberta Culture Days, Rutherford House Provincial Historic Site puts the spotlight on local talent in the arts and culture community, all centered on fibre; the history of various fibre industries in Alberta, along with fibre sources, uses and products. Visit with a local sheep farmer and his sheep, try your hand at carding and spinning wool, explore the handiwork of several artisans and create your own craft using fibre. The entire family will enjoy an afternoon of demonstrations, art, historic crafts and more.

Candlelight Gala

The first annual Wounded Warriors Candlelight Gala is being organized in an effort to spread awareness for our soldiers and their struggles off the battlefield.

We are hoping to raise $30,000 to put towards programs in Alberta to help our soldiers, those full time and reserve, suffering with physical and mental injuries.

DBG Crafters Fall Sale

Handmade crafts from the bounty of the fall Garden! Wreaths, centerpieces, dried floral arrangements, potpourri, candles, cards and much more. Products are handmade by the Devonian Botanic Garden’s Crafters Association, many with materials harvested at the DBG. Proceeds support programs and special projects at the Garden.
