Alberta’s summer festivals are in full swing! The weather is warm! The beaches are full! It will make sense if you need to get away this weekend and enjoy all of it. You can do so by camping, hitting up small town celebrations and finding a hotel, or with some of these unique and interesting rentals. Make the most of your summer weekend and try out these vacation ideas for July 22-24th.

Choose From 2 of Alberta’s Biggest Summer Fairs

Both Edmonton’s K-days and Red Deer’s Westerner Days take place this weekend.

K-Days is a 130-year-old tradition in Edmonton and a place for people to gather from all over and enjoy local shopping, unique food, rides and games, and exciting live entertainment. K-Days 2022 has all of the above, and then some! (This Weekend in Edmonton)

The festivities for Red Deer’s Westerner Days kick off on July 20th with a morning parade through the city and continue until Sunday with loads of family fun. The fair hosts a midway with thrill rides, food, and kiddie rides, with Ride All Day Passes available. You also have three main headlining acts to consider planning around: Billy Talent, Corb Lund, and Alan Doyle. The city gives you numerous ways to stay with hotels, motels, tent sites, and RV sites.
