One of Ontario’s most terrifying Halloween events is returning with even more terrifying attractions this year.

Canada’s Wonderland will once again be transformed into a nightmare landscape with the return of Halloween Haunt, a fall tradition that fills the park with fog, frights, and live entertainment.

Running on select nights this season, the event features scare zones, roaming performers, and stage shows including Head Bangers and Inferno. Guests can also take on the park’s roller coasters after dark, including the new AlpenFury, which makes its nighttime debut during the festival.

What is new: This year’s biggest addition is The Conjuring: Beyond Fear, a premium 20-minute “SCREAMium” experience inspired by New Line Cinema’s The Conjuring films. Visitors join Ed and Lorraine Warren’s team to contain cursed artifacts in the Warren Artifact Room. Along the way, they face entities such as The Nun, The Crooked Man, The Ferryman, and Annabelle. Access to The Conjuring: Beyond Fear requires a separate ticket, which can be purchased inside the park.

The park’s notorious haunted mazes also return, available through the “pay-to-panic” Haunted Attractions Pass. Among the featured walk-throughs are The Ruins and Spirit Manor, both designed to push visitors’ nerves to the limit.

For those who prefer to catch their breath, themed food and drinks are available throughout the grounds. Seasonal treats, cocktails, and limited-edition Halloween Haunt merchandise round out the experience.

Organizers note that Halloween Haunt is an intense event not recommended for children under 13. For families, Canada’s Wonderland is offering Camp Spooky and Oktoberfest as daytime alternatives.

Besides the mazes and scare zones, guests can also experience the thrill of Wonderland’s 28 ride attractions, including Yukon Striker, Mighty Canadian Minebuster, Leviathan, and Behemoth under the moonlight, providing a unique adrenaline-rushing perspective to these popular rides.

For those looking for family fun during Halloween, choose to visit during the daytime to experience Camp Spooky. Enjoy scare-free attractions, live shows, costume parties, trick-or-treating, and more on weekends starting September 27th.
