  • St. Mary’s Winter Lights: Enjoy this festive display at Milt Dunnell Field by car or on foot until January 1st.
  • Simcoe Christmas Panorama: Step into Ontario’s original light festival and experience its charm at Wellington Park till January 1, 2026.
  • Victoria Park Winter Wonderland: Explore festive lights from December 5, 2025, to January 16, 2026, including observation deck views during select dates.
  • Magic of Lights: Until January 3rd, experience a 2.5-kilometre drive-through holiday light experience at Fanshawe Conservation Area.
  • LaSalle Holiday Lights Heritage Nights: Celebrate cultural heritage with light displays, food, and entertainment at the LaSalle Civic Centre. The lights will be on daily from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm until January 4, 2026.

Outdoor Winter Adventures

Make the most of the snowy season:
  • Skating: Enjoy skating at Outdoor skating rinks – Storybook Gardens, The Rotary Rink at Covent Garden Market, and Victoria Park weather permitting. London has 11 indoor ice pads and three outdoor ice pads.  Registration and skating schedules will be available online. Before planning, do check the cancellations page to make sure the ice pads are operating as usual.
  • Tobogganing: Slide downhill at Doidge Park and Basil Grover Park.
  • Skiing: Take in the winter scenery while cross-country skiing on various trails.
  • Snowshoeing: Enjoy the trails on a snowshoe.
  • Geocaching: Hunt for hidden treasures in nature using a GPS or app.
  • Bird Watching: Spot winter birds at hotspots or your backyard feeder. Grab a pair of binoculars, download a bird ID app, and try to name all the birds that you can spot. Do a Christmas Bird Count.
  • Winter Walks: Go on invigorating walks along the many pathways in London. Discover the beauty of the season along the Thames Valley Parkway.
  • Winter Adventures at Boler Mountain: A hub for winter sports, Boler Mountain has many activities that can be enjoyed including snowboarding, skiing, tubing, and more. They also offer beginner lessons at the Snow School’s Ski and Snowboarding lessons.
  • Circle R Ranch: Circle R Ranch offers 13 km of groomed trails for skiing and snowshoeing, with rentals, a waxing area, a lunch room, and a Ski Shop for sales and repairs.

The Provincial Parks and National Parks offer many outdoor activities. Even if you have visited in spring or summer, winter presents entirely different experiences. You can enjoy a whole lot of activities from skating, snowshoeing, skiing, camping, and more. How about spending a night in the cozy comfort of a yurt? Winter camping is available in select provincial parks!
