This year’s lineup includes returning favourites like Lighting of the Lights, the Holly Jolly Holiday Market, and New Year’s Eve in the Park, along with a variety of free holiday experiences from horse & carriage and carousel rides to Downtown for the Holidays experiential trails, live music throughout downtown, and so much more!
Lighting of The Lights
The City of London invites residents to kick off the holiday season with the annual Lighting of the Lights at Victoria Park on Friday, December 05, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. with a complimentary 360° photo booth, providing a perfect opportunity for friends and family to capture festive selfies against the beautiful backdrop of Victoria Park.
Food lovers can indulge in a variety of delicious offerings from a selection of food trucks, including Donut Diva, New Leaf Planet Based Food, and Grill ‘Em, ensuring there’s something tasty for everyone.
The evening will kick off with live music at 6:10 p.m., featuring The Rockin’ Reindeer, led by rising star John Fellner, alongside local musicians. The highlight of the night is the magical moment the park is illuminated with the ceremonial flip of the switch at approximately 6:50 p.m. This year, Mayor Josh Morgan will be joined by John Davidson, founder of Jesse’s Journey to set the park aglow.
⭐️ Over 100,000 lights will illuminate the park, along with an array of festive displays, including Santa and his reindeer, a Christmas train, and a cheerful snow family. Victoria Park transforms into a winter wonderland nightly until January 16.
The holiday magic continues at Covent Garden Market
After the Lighting of the Lights, Londoners are encouraged to join the Covent Garden Market for the annual tree lighting ceremony and kick-off of the Holly Jolly Holiday Market. Starting Friday, December 5, visitors can enjoy local artisans and food vendors, cozy fire pits, live music, and dazzling light displays around the beautiful Christmas tree in Rotary Square. The tree lighting takes place at 7:45 p.m.
Holly Jolly Holiday Market
Join us at the Holly Jolly Holiday Market at the Covent Garden Market! Every weekend from December 05 to December 21, visitors can enjoy local artisan and food vendors, live music, light displays, and cozy fire pits as they gaze at a giant beautiful Christmas tree in the centre of Rotary Square. From crafts and cocktails to horse rides and holiday lights, there will be something for everyone at the Holly Jolly Holiday Market!

- Pictures with Santa – This holiday season, book the holliest jolliest family photos with Santa and help ensure that kids facing childhood cancer can smile too. To make your photos extra special, all proceeds will go to support children and their families who are facing childhood cancer.

Santa will be located on the second floor, inside the Market (old Tea Haus location). Elevator access is available at King Street. Sadly, no pets can be given permission to enter the Holly Jolly Market at Covent Garden Market, London, ON.
New Year’s Eve in The Park
As the holiday season winds down at the end of the month, there is one last celebration planned – New Year’s Eve in the Park! Victoria Park will come alive with fireworks, free outdoor skating, live music, and entertainment. Visitors can take in the holiday lights in Victoria Park to celebrate the New Year.
