You can enjoy glow-in-the-dark boating in the world’s largest indoor lake starting next week in Toronto.

The Toronto International Boat Show, North America’s largest indoor boat show, is set to make a splash at Toronto’s Enercare Centre from January 19th to 28th, 2024.
Celebrating its 66th edition, the event will spread across over a million square feet at Exhibition Place, bringing together consumers, the boating community, and over 500 exhibitors including top boat dealers, manufacturers, and industry experts.
This year’s show introduces an exciting new feature: Glow in the Dark Boating. Hosted on the world’s largest indoor lake, set up in Coca-Cola Coliseum with more than a million gallons of water, this unique experience will combine colorful LED lights with boating activities. Attendees can enjoy free boat rides, stand-up paddleboard and seaflea races, as well as wakeboarding and waterskiing shows.
The Indoor Wakeboard Canadian Championship will take place during the opening weekend, featuring top riders like Riley Dillon and Kelsey Chiappa.
Here are the highlights of the boating show:
- First Look Friday (January 19): A live-streamed event hosted by Steve Bull for the boating community to preview new products and special announcements. Part of the ticket sales will support partner charities.
- Glow in the Dark Boating: A unique, after-dark boating experience with kayaking and pedal boating enhanced by colourful LED lights, adding a new dimension to the boating experience.
- New Products Showcase: Features the largest array of boats and accessories in Canada, including electric boats and green technologies, with exciting product launches like the Neptunus 750SL luxury yacht.
- The Great Canadian Fish Tank: A 40ft aquarium with native Ontario marine species, offering seminars and tips on fishing techniques and electronics to both enthusiasts and beginners.
- Antique and Vintage Boats Celebration: Showcasing over 100 years of Canadian boating history with a display of antique and classic boats, highlighting craftsmanship and heritage.
- Sailing Innovations: Interactive experiences in sailing, including virtual sailing and the latest in wing foiling, kiteboarding, windfoiling, and windsurfing, offered in partnership with North Sails and Ontario Sailing.
- Traeger Grills Flavour Stage: Offers diverse cooking seminars, showcasing techniques like grilling fish four ways, with the opportunity to sample delicious BBQ creations.
- 440 New Seminars: The largest number of seminars to date, featuring global boating experts and topics ranging from electric boats to new watersports, including insights from record-breaking kayaker Mark Ervin Fuhrmann.
- Boaters Resource Centre: A hub of information with experts from various organizations, offering advice on safe boating, licenses, insurance, and boat handling for all skill levels.
- World’s Largest Indoor Lake for Boaters: Unique indoor boating experience offering free boat rides, wakeboard lessons, and exciting shows like the Winter Wake Fest Slam Dunk and the Mad Scientist Water Ski Show.
- Competitive Events: Hosting the Indoor Wakeboard Canadian Championships and daily Seaflea and Stand-Up Paddleboard Races, showcasing top talent and competitive spirit in various boating activities.
