Want to order your favourite Alberta craft beer? If you live in Edmonton, Calgary or Fort MucMurray, you can get alcohol delivered to your door through SkipTheDishes.

Though alcohol delivery through SkipTheDishes is available in B.C. and Manitoba since 2017, the service started today, February 18th in Alberta, making Alberta the third province to have this option.

You can order alcohol if you are over the age of 18. Upon delivery, you will have to show a proof of age — a valid government ID to the courier. An age verification step has been added to SkipTheDishes app to enable alcohol delivery. SkipTheDishes said that, the courier will not deliver the order, if photo ID is not provided or if the id does not match. The customer will also be charged a $10 fee.

According to SkipTheDishes, all independently-contracted couriers that delivers an order from a brewery or liquor store will have their ProServe certificate and have undergone an alcohol delivery on-boarding process.
