New Year’s Eve Fireworks and Festival Edmonton
Bundle up the family and head to Sir Winston Churchill Square and City Hall Plaza to usher in 2024 with free family-friendly programming, including music, roaming performers, holiday activities and free skate rentals. This year’s New Year’s Eve Downtown Festival and Fireworks celebration will feature two fireworks shows – an earlier show at 9 p.m. to accommodate families with younger children, and a traditional fireworks show at midnight.

The event kicks off with a Molson Oilers Game Day Live watch party featuring food, drinks, and entertainment as the Edmonton Oilers play against the Ducks. Post-game, the Plaza turns into a grand New Year’s Eve party with performances by Josh Ross and Taylor-Rae, a countdown, fireworks, and professional ice carving by Chiseled.

Ring in the New Year with your family at our first annual New Year’s Eve in the Fort.
Outdoor activities include mini sno-golf, bean bag toss, snow painting and don’t forget bring your skates. Mix 107 will be providing the music to skate to. Make masks and noise makers to ring in the New Year, use the photo booth and enjoy treats at the warming stations. Dennis of Fort Sight and Sound is donating his services for an outdoor dance in the fort’s courtyard. Our grand finale is a Parade of Light. Join the volunteers and march around the Fort wearing your mask and glow in the dark prizes. We end up in the courtyard for a traditional New Year’s Eve countdown. And that’s not ALL we have planned !
