Calgary 
The City of Calgary in partnership with Parks Foundation and the Government of Alberta recently completed the development of 10 new inclusive playgrounds across the city.

These inclusive playgrounds are barrier-free and accessible to children and caregivers with mobility challenges and have features like directional braille indicator signs to help those who are blind or partially sighted to navigate and enjoy the playground. Some playgrounds also have enclosed or semi-private areas where children can take a break when they are feeling overstimulated.
The city constructed these playgrounds with funds from Provincial Municipal Stimulus Program, Community Facility Enhancement Program and a variety of sources including the Calgary Parks capital budgets, Parks Foundation grants, community-raised funds and other donors.

- Edworthy Park (5050 Spruce Dr SW) features western-themed playground that includes accessible tandem swings, ramps, braille signage, accessible rocking wagon, musical instruments
- Elliston Park (1827 68 St. S.E.) features playground that includes a zip line, accessible swings , climbers, ramps, musical instruments
- Hidden Hut (10504 Hidden Valley Dr NW) features playground that includes ramps, saucer swing, accessible spring teeter, mobility
- South Glenmore Park (8415 24 St SW) features playground that includes a waterpark, ramps, enclosure area, musical instruments, roller slides
- North Glenmore Park (7305 Crowchild Trail NW) features playground that includes a zip line, musical instruments, ramps
- Ramsay Inclusive Playground (Macdonald Ave SE and Bellevue Ave SE) features two-tiered playground featuring fully accessible spinner, ramps, slides, climbers
- Sandy Beach (4500 14A St. S.W.) features tandem swings, ramps, musical instruments
- Somerset (999 Somerset Square SW) features fully accessible merry-go-round, fully accessible rocking raft , saucer swing, rope climbers, ramps
- Ted Harrison (Taralake Way NE & Taradale Dr NE) features accessible swings, accessible rocker, rope climber, ramps
- Vivo (Country Village Rd NE & Country Village Way NE) features fenced playground including fully accessible sway ride, accessible swings, saucer swings, musical instruments, roller slide
All playgrounds have paved pathways to playgrounds and accessible parking nearby.
Calgary aims to build an inclusive play space or recreational opportunity within a 5 km radius of every Calgarian as part of the Inclusive Play Spaces Implementation Plan.
