There are three different ziplines for a spectacular day out, all with their own unique features, views, and maximum speeds. You can fly through the great outdoors, inside West Edmonton Mall, or add make your ziplining part of a larger adventure. For a day out with younger kids, you can find smaller zipline attractions at Alberta’s adventure farms.
Winsport’s Monster Zipline
In the summer months, all of Canada Olympic Park is put to use for summer thrill-seekers. The large ski jump included! The Olympic-sized ski jump transforms into Winsport’s Monster Zipline for summer and creates a 500-m track. Ready, set, and fly (up to 120km/hour!) down this monster ride before trying Winsport’s other experiences: they also offer a bobsleigh ride, or downhill go-carting. Kids must be 10 years or older to ride the zipline.

Alternative Adventures Zipline
You can book one three different zipline ‘flights’ at Alternative Adventures in Hinton. And this zipline adventure works a bit differently than most. They send you soaring with your arms out while you lay flat on your belly for over 350m of track. Try the introductory Superhero Flight before attempting Tandem, or their unique Base Jump experience (you get more slack on your zipline and will soar a bit faster!)

SkyFlyer Zipline at West Edmonton Mall
West Edmonton Mall may not be the absolute largest mall in the world anymore, but they do retain a few claims to fame and “world’s largest” titles within the mall’s attractions. This includes the world’s largest indoor zipline (143m) at the World Water Park. Your flight takes you on a leisurely journey over the giant wave pool and toward the towers of slides while you reach up to 40km per hour. Friends and families can fly together with up to four people on their four ziplines.

Vista Ridge Aerial Park
Vista Ridge can take you and your family on a skyward clip n’ climb adventure this summer with their feature Aerial Park. You’ll be clipped to steel cables via carabiners and led across the three-level jungle gym while passing obstacles, flying through small ziplines, and finally reaching the top for a stunning reward of a view.

Zipline Attractions for Smaller Kids
If you’re looking for a unique outing in central or southern Alberta for smaller kids, introduce them to ziplines in family farms. Along with a small zipline attraction, these fun farms have around 30 other attractions each. This gives you and your family an entire day’s worth of things to do and explore around the farms.
