Ontario Place’s Lumière: The Art of Light returns today to Trillium Park.
This unique outdoor exhibition casts new light on the concept of “CONNECTIONS” through the medium of art, engaging the public with 17 diverse and interactive light installations.
This event, free to the public, runs from March 12 to April 20, 2024, and features the innovative work of Ontario-based artists, each bringing their distinct vision to the theme.
The installations illuminate the park every evening until 11:00pm, complemented by bonfires on weekends and nightly during March Break, offering a warm, inviting atmosphere.
The exhibition includes works like Lauren A. Pirie’s Canopy (A Long Story IX), which integrates sculptures and light to highlight environmental and personal interconnectedness. Asli Alin’s Chroma Interlace and Jungle Ling’s Connect Ever Green similarly blend artistic innovation with environmental themes. Jordan Shaw’s Crosshatch and John Notten’s Drawn to the Flame use interactive elements to engage visitors, while Entangled Luminosity by Tyler Burey and the Geosphere by John Nguyen, Nicholas Hoban, and Rahul Sehijpaul showcase technological integration with nature.
