Get ready for some serious flower power as Western Canada’s largest tulip festival is returning this year.

Chilliwack Tulip Festival
Starting on April 19th and running for approximately three to four weeks, visitors can experience the beauty of over 7 million bulbs planted across 20 acres of stunning floral landscapes.
With 30 tulip varieties, 16 types of daffodils, and five types of hyacinths, there’s something for everyone to admire and photograph.
Between 7 and 15 acres of flowers will be in full bloom in different locations around the fields as various varieties bloom at different times.
During the early days of the festival, guests can enjoy early blooming varieties of tulips like “World’s Favourite,” as well as the double daffodils, located on the farm about 75 minutes from Vancouver.
This year, the flower fields are located within 75 metres of the entrance, making the experience easier than ever to access.
The Chilliwack Tulip Festival offers more than just photo opportunities. There are seven sets of swings, and outdoor lawn games for visitors to enjoy, plus a 1950s Morris convertible and a 1965 Airstream trailer for that perfect photo backdrops.

The Farm Shop is also open daily, offering fresh-cut and potted tulips, sunflower seeds, and tulip-themed souvenirs. And let’s not forget about the food trucks, which will be serving up delicious treats and refreshments to satisfy any craving.
The festival lasts for about 3 to 4 weeks, depending on the weather. The site is also home to Chilliwack Sunflower Festival where you will be able to enjoy more than 25 gorgeous varieties of sunflowers during summer.
Tickets are available online only, so book in advance to save $5 per person.
The festival is located at 41310 Royalwood Dr, just off Highway 1, and parking is free.
Founder Kate Onos-Gilbert says, “Opening the festival each year truly feels like a celebration of spring,” and we couldn’t agree more.
