2023 MICHELIN Guide Toronto: List of All the 82 Restaurants in the 2nd Edition

The second edition of the MICHELIN Guide Toronto was unveiled yesterday, revealing a delectable array of culinary gems in the city.

Toronto’s gastronomic scene witnessed the addition of 2 new One-Star restaurants, four fresh Bib Gourmand awardees, and two innovative Green Stars. Among the highlights was Restaurant 20 Victoria, led by One-Star chef Julie Hyde, offering a seasonal tasting menu featuring original creations like smoked beets with oyster cream. Kappa Sato’s open kitchen chef’s counter, helmed by chef Takeshi Santo, also earned a One-Star rating for its soulful dash broths and expertly prepared tempura fried mackerel.

 

Emphasizing sustainability, Frilu and White Lily Diner showcased that green gastronomy can be delicious and innovative, further enhancing Toronto’s culinary reputation.

Anonymous MICHELIN Guide inspectors announced 12 additions and four Bib Gourmand awards earlier this month.

Toronto earned its place as the first Canadian MICHELIN Guide destination in 2022, cementing its status as the sixth in North America. With its multicultural neighborhoods and diverse influences, the city, home to approximately 7,500 restaurants, offers a vibrant food scene.

The 2023 MICHELIN Guide for Toronto has a total of 82 restaurants, up from 74 in 2022.
