Edmonton’s restaurant scene is never slow. All around the city, you will find new places to dine, popping up in neighbourhoods old and new.
Last month was yet another bustling time for grand openings around Edmonton. The city saw the opening of new sweet shops, cafes, fine dining opportunities, and more. Show your love for local by trying something new this June. You’ll find gourmet donuts, fair trade coffee, and some of Alberta’s hottest fried chicken.

Marlo
The menu at Edmonton’s new Marlo restaurant reflects a serious love of tacos. These tacos are made with fresh corn tortillas and a variety of meat and protein toppings. Marlo is a smaller taco spot one block north of Whyte and offers a few more items to go with your tacos. Try Marlo’s burritos, nachos, or craft cocktails. Marlo is in a sweet spot of Old Strathcona with close proximity to the area festivals and the Farmers’ Market.
