The Beach Celtic Festival
Steeped in tradition, The Beach Celtic Festival is held in the beautiful setting of Kew Gardens, Toronto, with lovely trees, woodland and Lake Ontario at the base of the Park. Traditionally held the weekend after Labour Day, Toronto’s only outdoor ceilidh started in 2004 by Sandy Graham – a first generation Scottish Canadian, When Sandy’s Mum was passing away, she asked not be mourned but to be celebrated. After the first year, the event has now grown into what is now a local tradition, celebrating the Scottish, Irish and Welsh diaspora who came to Canada to start a new life.

The Bloorcourt Arts and Crafts Fair
This festival boasts one of Toronto’s largest gatherings of artists, musicians, artisans, and masters of all crafts. A true Modern Renaissance. From Ossington to Dovercourt there are over 70 arts and crafts vendors displaying an exciting array of wares from ceramics, to woven fabrics, screen printing, paintings, sculpture and more. It is a hub for emerging artists and veterans alike.
On the east end of the event starting at Christie Pits Park, there is plenty of family fun complete with inflatables, rides, games, performers, and a family stage for the children to enjoy. At 12:00 noon there will be a special performance done by professional wrestlers.

Jesus in the City Parade
The Jesus in the City Parade is a live musical street pageant of worshippers and paraders costumed as biblical characters opening the Bible through the arts and worship. Floats staging live bands and choirs move along downtown streets. Banners of the books of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation are raised as participants wearing colorful parade T-shirts sing and dance spreading the message of hope, love, peace and joy of salvation.
