Admission to National Parks and National Historic Sites will be free once again this Canada Day.

Fathom Five Marine Conservation Area
Canadians and visitors can access 171 national historic sites, 47 national parks, and five national marine conservation areas administered by Parks Canada without paying gate admission on Saturday, July 1st of this year.
Announcing the free admission, Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Minister said in a statement, “On July 1, admission will be free at all Parks Canada administrated places across the country. I hope you will spend this day with family and friends creating your own stories against the backdrop of inspiring national historic sites or breathtaking national parks and national marine conservation areas. Happy Canada Day!”
Lockage along the Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site and the Rideau Canal National Historic Site, as well as at Québec’s historic canals, will also be free for the day.
Visitors can enjoy various experiences, from adventure and family fun to historical and nature explorations. Activities include wagon tours at Bar U Ranch National Historic Site, learning about Mi’kmaw knowledge at Kejimkujik National Park, and period music with musket and cannon demonstrations at Fort George National Historic Site.
Parks Canada admission is free year-round for youth 17 and under to all Parks Canada-administered places.
