Alberta is giving a third dose of COVID-19 vaccine for all residents aged 75 and older and First Nations, Inuit and Métis people age 65 and older starting October 6th.
All those eligible for a third dose can book appointments for vaccines provided they have received their second dose at least six months before.
As previously announced, third doses of COVID-19 vaccines are also available for seniors living in congregate care and immunocompromised individuals meeting certain conditions.
Alberta is also providing additional mRNA doses to those who are travelling to a jurisdiction that does not accept visitors who have been vaccinated with Covishield/AstraZeneca or mixed doses.
Currently, 75.1 per cent of eligible Albertans are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 after receiving two vaccine doses. In addition, 84.5 per cent of eligible Albertans have received at least one dose.
The province is also limiting all outdoor private social gatherings to a maximum of 20 people effective October 6th.

Eligible Albertans aged 75 and older and First Nations, Metis and Inuit persons living off-reserve can book appointments for third doses by/at:
