Calgary Stampede Offering Free Admission to Essential Workers and Guests

The Calgary Stampede is offering free admission to essential workers and up to three guests for the first five days of the Calgary Stampede.

Announcing the offer, Calgary Stampede organizers said, “You supported our community, providing us with the services we needed during a time of uncertainty. And our community is so much better because you are a part of it. You showed us that we are truly Greatest Together.”

Essential and frontline workers include:

 
  • First Responders
  • Health Care
  • Health Services (i.e. Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, etc.)
  • Education (Teachers, Teacher Assistants, Bus drivers, Custodians, School Admin, etc.)
  • Retail & Grocery
  • Social Services
  • Food & Restaurant Services
  • Trucking
  • Warehousing
  • Transportation & Delivery
  • Custodian & Maintenance/Repairs
  • Security, Construction.

According to Calgary Stampede, the free admission offer can be redeemed even if one’s industry/occupation is not listed above and you provided an essential or front line service to the community. No validation or proof of identification is required to redeem this offer.

Though walk-in free Stampede tickets are available at the gate, Calgary Stampede recommends purchasing tickets in advance as entry will be based on Park capacity.

Free Admission to Essential Workers and Guests to Calgary Stampede

What: Free Park Admission will be offered to all frontline and essential workers and 3 guests, for the first five days of the 2021 Calgary Stampede.

When: Friday, July 9 to Tuesday, July 13, 2021

How Much: Free, purchase of tickets recommended.

Service fees of $1.25 apply.
