CF Chinook Centre is marking the 65th anniversary of its annual Stampede Breakfast with an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the most pancakes served in a single event.
The celebration will take place on Saturday, July 5, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., as part of Calgary’s broader Stampede festivities.
The event is expected to draw large crowds as organizers seek to surpass previous pancake-serving records. A similar Calgary event in 2023, held on Tim Hortons Family Day, set a record by serving 17,182 pancakes within eight hours.
The current benchmark for most pancakes cooked stands at 76,382 pancakes, established by Batter Blaster LLC.
Alongside the record attempt, attendees can participate in additional activities, including a pancake stacking contest, live music performances, a children’s area, and an outdoor retail market.
