The Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train program is returning to the rails to raise money, food, and awareness for food banks and hunger issues across Canada and the United States.
Holiday Train is about 1,000 feet in length with 14 rail cars decorated with hundreds of thousands of technology-leading LED lights and a modified boxcar that has been turned into a travelling stage for performers.
Beginning in Montreal and Hermon (Maine), two trains will make a festive journey, travelling through the U.S. and Canada to bring holiday cheer to many communities along CPKC’s network. Each event is free, with CPKC encouraging attendees to open their cupboards and wallets to help address hunger needs in their communities. Local food banks will accept donations at each stop to ensure those less fortunate have enough healthy food this holiday season.
The Canadian Train will depart from Hermon, Maine, on November 21 and follow CPKC’s tracks west to Metro Vancouver.
This is the train’s first journey as Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway since Canadian Pacific merged with Kansas City.

Sure wish that the train would come to downtown Vancouver or closer to downtown as opposed to Port Moody being the closest stop
Same with Vernon! We have a wonderful old train station with a small restaurant that just perhaps could sell cocoa and Christmas cookies! Bring it ‘Back to life’! All through the valley
! Whoops, they tore up the tracks to Kelowna and beyond. One would have to walk. Now there is an idea!! Set up kiosks along the trail for families and all to get out for a walk at Christas time. Getting sustenance along the way! What fun!!
Why can’t the train come threw Armstrong? We have such a nice train station it would look so pretty driving threw our little town. Just saying😁😉
