Charlottetown’s streets will come alive this Labour Day weekend, as the Charlottetown Busker Festival returns with a packed lineup of world-renowned performers.

Over three days from September 4 to 6, Victoria Row, Founders’ Food Hall & Market, Kent Street, and Peake’s Quay will transform into open-air stages, drawing locals and visitors alike to the heart of the city.
Who all can you watch:
Among the performers is Brant “The Fireguy” Matthews, a veteran entertainer and Guinness World Record holder who swallowed 101 torches in one minute.
Grant Goldie brings juggling and clowning shaped by performances in more than 30 countries, while Neil E Dee adds sword swallowing and extreme stunt work.
You can also catch MARBLE, featuring Koni and Kei, whose show builds to a four-metre-high knife-juggling finale.
Kobbler Jay mixes juggling, fire manipulation and what is described as “off the wall” comedy.
Another show, Plaf!, combines hula-hooping, German wheel and acrobatics, while Julia balances and juggles on a giant wheel.
Jack Wise, an Irish magician, comedian and ventriloquist, is scheduled to appear at the 2026 festival.
When & Where are the acts:
- Friday, Sept. 4: Friday eases you in, then turns up the heat at the Red Island Hospitality Group Pitch at 4 p.m., with Kobbler Jay, MARBLE and Jack Wise. Founders’ Food Hall & Market joins in at 5:15 p.m. with Plaf!, The Fire Guy and Grant Goldie. At Peake’s Quay, Neil E Dee opens at 5:45 p.m., followed by MARBLE, Plaf! and an 8:30 p.m. fire-stunt finish from The Fire Guy.
- Saturday, Sept. 5:Saturday gives you a full day of choices. Peake’s Quay gets going at 11 a.m. with Neil E Dee and continues through 9 p.m., mixing Plaf!, MARBLE, Kobbler Jay, Jack Wise, The Fire Guy and Grant Goldie. Founders’ runs from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., while the Red Island Hospitality Group Pitch offers a compact late-afternoon trio beginning at 4 p.m.
- Sunday, Sept. 6: Sunday spreads the action across three pitches. Founders’ starts first at 11 a.m. with The Fire Guy, while Peake’s Quay follows at 11:30 a.m. with Grant Goldie. Victoria Row begins at 12:15 p.m. with Kobbler Jay, then cycles through Jack Wise, Neil E Dee, Plaf!, Grant Goldie and MARBLE before The Fire Guy closes that pitch at 6:15 p.m. Peake’s Quay continues until 8:30 p.m.
- Busk After Dusk brings the Charlottetown Busker Festival indoors for a late-night, adults-only show at the Salvador Dali Café. The 19+ event runs Sunday, September 6, from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., giving you a chance to catch daring stunts and festival-style entertainment in a more intimate evening setting. Tickets are $17.55.
