Attractions Lake Louise Gondola

Before the ride, a pre-ride Visitor Welcome orientation at the Bears Den provides visitors with information for a safe and memorable ride.

Choose an open chair or a fully enclosed gondola to ride up the face of the mountain and view one of the most spectacular sceneries in the Canadian Rockies.

Try to spot wildlife like Grizzly bears, and coyotes on your way up/down the lift and from the lodge. Do not forget to relish the exhilarating scenery around you.

From the viewpoint on the top, enjoy the turquoise Lake Louise at a distance, nestled like a jewel amongst the soaring mountain peaks.

Take leisurely strolls around, appreciating nature or take the strenuous hike to the summit of Mount Whitehorn if you are up to it. (Unescorted hikes are permitted on the upper mountains, and take care to hike in groups of 4 or more.)

Participate in the guided walks of the upper mountain for an additional fee.

Listen to gondola Interpretive Programs to gain more understanding about geography and wildlife frequenting the area like Grizzlies.

Check the webcam to make sure that one gets a spectacular view on a foggy/cloudy day.
