The 1980’s were a musical extravaganza!
Filled with larger-than-life pop stars who knew how to put on a show. Artists such as Elton John brought the house down with flamboyant costumes and catchy piano melodies in songs like “I’m Still Standing” and “Candle in the Wind.” Billy Joel serenaded us with his soulful voice and relatable lyrics in classics like “Piano Man” and “Uptown Girl.” Lionel Richie had us dancing all night long to feel-good anthems like “All Night Long” and romantic ballads like “Hello.” Madonna pushed boundaries with her edgy style and dance tunes like “Like a Virgin” that defined a generation. And Janet Jackson emerged from her famous family’s shadow, controlling her rhythm nation with smash hits like “Nasty”. These legends lit up the 80’s and gifted us with some of the most iconic pop stars and songs ever. Their music continues to captivate us today, taking us on a totally tubular trip back in time.
