We’re brightening your ZOOLIGHTS experience with enchanting new themes and special guests. Of course, we’re bringing back the classic activities you’ve come to love and have added in some new ones designed to light you up.
This year’s ZOOLIGHTS will feature exciting new activities including Wizarding Wednesdays, Potions Class, and more, in addition to the classics we have all come to love like Santa, the Wishing Tree, ice skating and fire pits.
Every Sunday between 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. the ZOOLIGHTS experience will be altered to meet the needs of our sensory sensitive guests. This includes a Calm Room in the Tom Baines Classroom from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. that will feature calming activities and space run by staff and volunteers.

The lights are turned on at 5:00 p.m. nightly, with the official event running from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. It takes 90 minutes to 2 hours to experience all ZOOLIGHTS has to offer!

Gate close at 8:30 pm for admission. Gate stay open and start charging Zoolights pricing at 4:30 pm.

Calgary Zoo Location & Directions
Located in Bridgeland, Calgary zoo is just east of the city’s downtown and adjacent to the Inglewood and East Village neighbourhoods. It is accessible via Calgary’s C-Train (McKnight/Westwinds) route 202, by car via Memorial Drive and by bicycle and footpath via the Bow River pathway.
