The SpacePort is a not-for-profit facility owned and operated by the Calgary Airport Authority and managed by Southern Music Limited. It is an education and entertainment facility focusing on space and aeronautics.

This is a pre security attraction in the Calgary Airport.

See the 1/4 size exact prototype of the Space Shuttle orbiter which is on a 10-year loan from NASA. Also on long-term loan from NASA is a moon rock brought back by an Apollo mission.

Experience the Hands-on exhibits and displays, authentic and Canadian Space Agency artifacts.

There are four simulators including F-1 race car, full motion F-18 fighter jet simulators, Morphis -a moving eight-person scenario simulator in a space-age capsule, FX2 simulator-seating up to two people.

Especially for children, there is a Keebee play area, complete with touch-screen computer activities, a PlayStation 2, Nintendo 64 etc. One can also hold birthday parties at the Space port calgary.

Who all can go and enjoy ? – All.Go here especially, if you have free time once you are in the airport.

How to get to SpacePort Calgary ?

SpacePort Location & Directions

Located at Mezzanine level (3rd floor), near Destinations Food Court at the Calgary International Airport. After entering the airport, take the escalators up from the Departures level. Look for banners and the quarter-scale NASA Shuttle hanging from the ceiling.
