Events Description
Amazon Future Engineer Day is about celebrating science and technology — and showing how fun, creative, and accessible STEM can be.
We’re thrilled to open our doors with free general admission on December 11, from 9 am –5 pm, inviting families and students from across Edmonton to explore, discover, and be inspired.
The day is packed with engaging, hands-on activities that connect real-world technology with imagination and curiosity.
Partnership & Access
- Working with partners like Amazon allows TWOSE to make science more equitable and accessible for everyone.
- Collaborations like Amazon Future Engineer Day help us remove barriers so more young people can see themselves in science and technology.
- You never know which moment or experience will spark a lifelong curiosity in STEM — and events like this create those opportunities for all youth.
Inspiring Through Experience - Guests can take part in the “Your Voice is Power” workshop, where music meets coding to inspire social change and amplify Indigenous voices in partnership with TakingITGlobal.
- We want young people to see how creativity and technology intersect — whether it’s coding beats or building robots, it’s all about empowerment through innovation.
- Visitors can also get an up-close look at an Amazon Hercules Robot — a machine capable of moving up to 1,000 pounds in Amazon fulfillment centres — to see how robotics is transforming how we work.
- It’s a great example of how the technology we imagine here at the Science Centre connects to real-world applications shaping our future.
