Events Description
On the fifth anniversary of the anti-extradition movement in Hong Kong, “Rather be ashes than dust” is a documentary filmed by a video-journalist to reflect the beginning and end of the movement. Director Alan Lau said that every scene of gunfire, bullets, blood and tears is real. Many Hong Kong people, including himself, have experienced post-traumatic sequelae as a result. He hopes that the world will remember this history of Hong Kong’s democratic struggle.
